Google launches Bard AI Assistant tool

Google has launched Bard an AI Assistant tool powered by generative AI.

“This AI assistant will act as a personalized helper across Google apps like Gmail and Docs.” Says Google: “It combines Bard’s generative and reasoning capabilities with Assistant’s personalized help. You can interact with it through text, voice, or images — and it can even help take actions for you.”

HOWEVER Google also says “Bard is an experiment- As you try Bard, please remember:
Bard will not always get it right. Bard may give inaccurate or offensive responses. When in doubt, use the Google button to double-check Bard’s responses.”

Which is a very good reminder about all AI: ALWAYS CHECK,CHECK and CHECK again as no AI is currently perfect.

There is an old IT adage: GIGO – Garbage In Garbage Out. The trick to AI is always the exact question you ask it.
