Following my blog post yesterday- New cookies data law kicks in I was asked how to delete cookies from other browsers- as I had only mentioned Mozilla’s Firefox browser and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.
Therefore in the interests of wider information, I hope that the below will be of help to you:
Firefox Browsers–
At the top of the toolbar select Tools,
Select Clear Recent History,
Check the Cookies box.
Internet Explorer browser–
Click the Tools cogs icon,
Select Internet Options,
Select General tab,
Hit the Browsing History Delete button
Check the Cookies box.
Chrome browser-
Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar,
Select Tools,
Select Clear browsing data,
In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove,
Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete,
Select beginning of time to delete everything,
Click Clear browsing data.
Safari browser-
Choose Preferences from Safari menu,
Select Security icon,
Press Show Cookies button,
Select the Cookies to be deleted from the list,
Press Delete button.
Opera browser-
To delete all cookies at the end of every session, select it in the privacy settings under:
Preferences,
Click on Manage cookies to delete specific cookies or cookies from specific domains,
To delete all cookies immediately, go tothe Tools Menu and click on the Delete private data button.
It is good practice to regularly clean the cookies out of your browsers.
